Wink  Is Ali the greatest of all time?

I would like to see how many of you guys actually think that Muhammad Ali is the greatest fighter of all time. I don't, heres why;

Muhammad Ali himself said that he was not the greatest fighter of all time. He said that Sugar Ray Robinson was the greatest of all time, but he said that he was the greatest heavyweight of all time. I beg to differ.

When Jack Dempsey fought Jess Willard in 1919, Dempsey's new manager bet the prize money that Jack Dempsey would knock Willard out in the first round. Dempsey freaked out. Thus the most brutal round of boxing began. In just one round, Dempsey broke Willard's nose, his jaw, his ribs, shattered his cheek bone, and knocked out 6 of his teeth. Willard was pretty tough and went two more brutal rounds with the Mannasas Mauler, but his corner made him give in. Ali would not be tough enough to beat Jack Dempsey. Then most of you Ali fans, before even looking up Jack Dempsey's fights on youtube, would say that he would be unskilled and not tough enough to take the hits of Muhammad Ali. Jack Dempsey was as tough as iron. He was only knocked out once in his entire career.... in a fight that he was paid to fall in the first round. He had to be tougher than any man that Ali has fought (except George Chuvalo) to take the punches of men like Jack Sharkey and Gunboat Smith. Dempsey was not unskilled either. He was one of the most excellent dodgers ever lived. He couls dip, move, and dodge with his back quicker than most men could throw a jab. He also has a string of famous punches that every one knows as the Dempsey roll. Dempsey would win by KO in the early rounds.

John L. Sullivan was the first heavyweight champion of the world. No man besides Jake Kilrain and Charlie Mittchell has made it more than six rounds. Back then you had to literally disable your opponents to win these fights. Sullivan was the hardest puncher ever lived. Sullivan was tough too. When he fought Jake Kilrain in 1889, the fight went on for 75 rounds. This is a bareknuckled fight and Kilrain was almost as good a hitter as Sullivan. Kilrain could not answer the bell. Both of the fighters nearly died from loss of blood. Ali fans would then say to this comment, well he is not fast enough to catch Ali. Charlie Mitchell could dodge and move his hands and back up as fast as the wind blows.

Tell me your thoughts on this so I can pwn you in an argument Wink
